We may not be getting dressed up for glittering events and parties this Autumn and Winter like last year, but that doesn’t stop us aweing over the inspirational jewellery trends that have been making their way down (socially distanced) fashion catwalks this season! We’re taking a look at the latest jewellery style trends and how you can add them into your Autumn/Winter wardrobe, whether you’re planning a staycation or enjoying a glass of fizz with some friends.
Silver structures
Silver came out victorious this season as it was favoured over gold by many top designers. We think it’s a personal preference, but silver offers a subtle yet classy way to add timeless style to any outfit. Designers have been using big, bold, chunky silver pieces in their shows this season, with unique structural motifs for eye-catching looks. Whether you ‘go big or go home’, or prefer dainty silver pieces, you’ll be right on trend this season.

Chain reaction
Chains have been a staple trend of 2020. Whether worn fine and delicate for an evening look, or chunky and bold with a knitted sweater, chains are not going anywhere this season! Some designers linked chains with more chains, whilst others hung trinkets and charms. We love chain pieces as they are so versatile and remain timeless through generations. Antique and vintage chains are particularly unique as they hold character and intrigue. With many sizes, styles and metals to choose from, there’s the perfect chain piece for everyone.

Timeless pearls
The timeless love affair with pearls is never-ending as they were seen re-invented on this season’s catwalks. Throughout the decades, pearls have been known to add a touch of class and femineity. Audrey Hepburn is of course renowned for wearing her strings of pearls which have cemented them as an iconic piece throughout the years, and still to this day they add elegance for any occasion. This year, we’ve seen pearls used not only as necklaces, but also braided into hair, hung from long statement earrings, and pinned on coats as distinctive brooches.

Lucky Charms
We all need a bit more luck this year, which is possibly why charm jewellery has seen a come-back. We’ve seen innovative variations on the charm trend from designers this season, with many alluding a mystical mood with deeper meanings featuring protective symbols and signs. The hamsa hand and the evil eye appeared in many designs, as well as astronomical inspired motifs across the catwalks. Charms have always been a favourite of ours as the wearer can truly personalise their piece to create their own story. Antique and vintage charm bracelets have a particular character to them, just like the below fully re-conditioned 9ct yellow gold fancy link charm bracelet. Each charm holds a story of its own, and we could spend hours just dreaming about the meanings for its past owners.
